A drill hole in the centre of a strong radon anomaly intersected 33 feet of 7.51% U₃O₈ at 500 feet depth
The radon survey was carried out with alphameters placed under the snow.
Although the ore-grade mineralization was at 500 feet, anomalous uranium was observed at much shallower depths. This near surface mineralization may have given rise to the radon anomaly observed at surface.

Alphameters have the advantage that they remain at the sample site and collect data over a period of days, averaging out any temporal variations.
Our instruments have the advantage of instant results at the sample site, with the possibility of immediate follow-up and checking.
Our instruments also determine thoron, and the Rn/Tn ratio is important in recognising false anomalies due to soil permeability. link.
